Jaipur: Rajasthan is set to witness a significant boost in infrastructure and industrial connectivity with the approval of the Jaipur-Pachpadra Greenfield Expressway. The ambitious project, estimated at around ₹11,492 crore, will link five key districts in the state, enhancing connectivity across western Rajasthan and opening new avenues for investment, industry, and employment.
Key Highlights:
- Greenfield Expressway Approved
- Connects Five Districts
- Direct Access to Refineries and Industries
- Travel Time Reduced by 2–3 Hours
The proposed expressway will start from Jaipur and pass through Kishangarh (Ajmer), Pali, and Jodhpur before reaching Pachpadra in Balotra district. Covering approximately 350–400 km, the route will provide direct access to the Pachpadra refinery from the state capital, significantly improving logistics and industrial operations in the region.
Strategic Industrial Benefits
The expressway is expected to play a vital role in supporting industries in western Rajasthan. The direct corridor will streamline the supply of raw materials and transportation of finished products, lowering logistics costs. Moreover, it will connect with major infrastructure projects such as the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and the Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway, enhancing regional and national trade networks.
Boost to Exports and Travel Efficiency
Once completed, the expressway will reduce travel time between Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Balotra by 2–3 hours, facilitating smoother movement of goods and people. The route will also enhance export potential, connecting seamlessly to Kandla Port via the IndiaMala Corridor and the Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway.
Employment and Regional Development
According to civil engineer Kushal Prajapat, the project will not only improve logistics but also pave the way for the development of new industrial hubs. Integration with ring roads and industrial clusters will create fresh employment opportunities and strengthen economic growth in the state.
With land acquisition underway and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) in preparation, the Jaipur-Pachpadra Greenfield Expressway is poised to transform Rajasthan’s industrial landscape, making it a critical corridor for trade, industry, and regional development.
