Jaipur Municipal Corporation Collects ₹2.5 Lakh in Two Days: Here’s How You Can Challenge a Fine

Jaipur: The Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has stepped up its enforcement measures against littering and other violations, using CCTV cameras to identify offenders and take immediate action. In just two days, the Corporation has collected a total of ₹2.57 lakh in fines, causing a stir among city residents. Many who have received fines are now anxious about how to contest them.

Challenging a Fine in Lok Adalat
If you believe a fine has been imposed unfairly, you can file a complaint in Lok Adalat. Details for filing can be submitted through the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) website, and you will be provided a date to appear and register your grievance. Additionally, the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority periodically holds Lok Adalat sessions where fines and other municipal disputes can also be appealed.

Using Jaipur Samadhan App and Contact Portal
Residents can also register complaints through the Contact Portal or the Jaipur Samadhan mobile app. These platforms allow citizens to submit their grievances online and receive timely redressal. Moreover, under the Rajasthan Amnesty Scheme, there are provisions to resolve fines through a one-time settlement, providing another option for residents to manage their penalties.

The Jaipur Municipal Corporation’s initiative highlights its commitment to maintaining cleanliness and civic discipline, while also ensuring that residents have clear channels to challenge or resolve fines in a transparent manner.
