Immediate Action on Littering
In a recent incident in the Civil Lines zone, two young men were caught on CCTV throwing garbage on the road. Upon receiving an alert from the control room, the JMC team reached the spot immediately. During the investigation, Dinesh Kumar Leelaramani, a resident of Ajmer Road, was fined ₹10,000, and the youths were made to pledge not to litter in public spaces in the future.
₹2.57 Lakh Collected in Two Days
Within just two days of the campaign, the Municipal Corporation has collected fines totaling ₹2.57 lakh. During this period, 20 kilograms of single-use plastic were seized. Out of the total fines, more than ₹1.78 lakh were imposed solely for the use of banned plastic, highlighting the corporation’s serious approach toward the issue.
Municipal Priorities: Cleanliness and Environmental Protection
JMC Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Saini stated that single-use plastics are a major environmental threat and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He emphasized that maintaining cleanliness in Jaipur remains the corporation’s top priority and warned that strict action against violators will continue. Citizens and traders have been urged to adhere to rules and contribute to building a cleaner Jaipur.
