Jaipur Audi Crash Claims Life of Bhilwara Man, Five Critically Injured; Full List of Victims Released

Jaipur: A high-speed Audi car ran amok in Jaipur’s Patrakar Colony police station area late on the night of January 9, leaving one man dead and at least 15 others injured, several of them critically. The tragic incident has sent shockwaves across the Pink City, once again raising serious concerns over reckless driving.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Bairwa, a resident of Bhilwara, who succumbed to his injuries. Among the injured are five people in critical condition, including Diwan Gurjar, a resident of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, whose spinal cord was severely damaged in the crash.

Eyewitness Account Sends Chills

Eyewitnesses described a horrifying scene as the speeding Audi ploughed into people standing along the roadside. Injured victim Mridul Panwar, who narrowly survived the crash, recalled the terrifying moments when the car struck the crowd with a deafening impact.

“I was thrown into the air after the collision and lost consciousness,” Mridul said from his hospital bed.

Wedding Joy Turns Into Tragedy

Twenty-six-year-old Mridul Panwar, a resident of Chittorgarh, is currently undergoing treatment at Jaipuria Hospital. He has suffered a fractured leg and broken ribs and may require surgery. His elder brother’s wedding is scheduled for February 14, but instead of celebrations, the family is now battling uncertainty and pain.

Other injured victims include Deepak Kharol, who was preparing for the Sub-Inspector recruitment examination, and Rakesh, the sole breadwinner of his family. Doctors confirmed that several victims sustained severe head injuries. One injured person died upon reaching the hospital, while four critically wounded patients were referred to SMS Hospital for advanced treatment.

Condition of the Injured

Medical authorities stated that multiple victims are battling life-threatening injuries. Plastic surgery has been advised for one of the injured due to extensive facial damage. Several others were discharged after first aid, while many remain under observation.

Health Minister Reviews Treatment

State Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar confirmed that one injured person died at Jaipuria Hospital, while two others are still undergoing treatment there. Four critically injured victims are being treated at SMS Hospital, with one patient reported to be in extremely serious condition.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are examining CCTV footage to determine the circumstances leading to the crash. Further legal action is expected as the probe progresses.

The tragic accident has left families shattered and the city mourning yet another life lost to reckless driving.
