Jabalpur Shocker: Man Electrocuted by Hunting Trap, Family and Village in Horror

Jabalpur: The mystery behind the death of 26-year-old Kapil Temre in Kundam has been solved, revealing a chilling case of negligence and cover-up. Kapil was electrocuted after coming into contact with an illegally set electric wire intended to trap animals. In a shocking twist, six villagers, fearing repercussions, bound his body with wires and dumped it in a dam with heavy stones, police said. All six have now been arrested.

Electric Wire Set to Trap Animals Claims Life
According to police, the accused had rigged a GI wire with an electric current to catch wild animals. Kapil Temre inadvertently touched the wire while in the field, resulting in instant death. In an attempt to conceal the crime, the accused tied the body with GI wires, wrapped it in a blanket with heavy stones, and submerged it in the Sil Dam.

Details of the Incident
Kapil had left home on 30 January to visit the fields and did not return. His family reported him missing to the Kundam police station on Sunday. On Tuesday, his body was recovered from the dam, bound in wires and weighed down with stones. Police promptly registered a case and began investigating.

Accused Identified
The police have named six villagers from Ghughra village as accused: Laman Singh Kadopa (32), Raju Singh Ude (41), Ramkumar alias Munna Maravi (32), Gulzar Singh Barkade (39), Bhag Singh Marko (38), and Mahendra Singh (40). During the incident, Kapil’s companion, Deepu Kadopa, also came into contact with the electrified wire but survived after fainting.

This gruesome incident has sent shockwaves through the community, raising serious concerns about illegal hunting practices and public safety in rural areas.
