Jabalpur Police Crack Down on ‘DSP’ – Social Media Stunt Rider Fined for Dangerous Biking

Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh: Jabalpur police have taken strict action against a young man notorious in the city’s biking and stunt community for performing dangerous tricks on a modified motorcycle and posting them online. The accused, Kabir alias Deelam Singh Panti, also known by his nickname “DSP”, ran an Instagram page called “Jabalpur Rider”, where he uploaded stunt and racing videos to earn likes, views, and money.

Modified Bike and Dangerous Stunts
Kabir had extensively modified his motorcycle for high-speed racing and stunts. Police discovered that he even removed the bike’s number plate to evade detection. His videos featured high-speed rides, races, and stunts in different parts of the city, often attracting young followers who sought to emulate him.

Police Investigation and Arrest
Under the instructions of SP Sampat Upadhyay, a team led by TI Umesh Golhani began investigating Kabir, tracking his Instagram account and identifying him as a resident of Ranjhi. After gathering sufficient evidence from his social media activity, the police finally apprehended him.

Fines and Social Media Scrutiny
Kabir has been fined for reckless driving and riding without a number plate. Police confirmed that his Instagram account contained multiple videos of stunts and racing, and that authorities are now monitoring similar social media profiles closely to curb risky behavior.

Police Warn Bikers
Authorities have issued a warning to all bikers: performing stunts or racing at high speeds for social media attention is extremely dangerous and can result in accidents causing harm to both riders and bystanders. Police have also announced strict action against individuals caught performing such stunts, particularly in areas like Dumna Road, where daily racing and stunt activities are common near Rani Durgavati University and Dumna Airport.

The crackdown highlights the growing concerns over social media-driven stunts and the potential risks they pose to public safety in urban areas.
