International Javelin Star Annu Rani Marries National Kickboxer Sahil; Wedding Celebrated with Grandeur in Sardhana

Meerut/Sardhana: India’s internationally acclaimed javelin thrower and Arjuna Awardee, Annu Rani, tied the knot with national kickboxer Sahil in a grand ceremony held at a luxurious resort on Kanwar Marg, Sardhana. The wedding, celebrated with traditional rituals, music, and festivities, drew widespread attention across the region.

Grand Baraat and Traditional Welcoming

The groom, Sahil, arrived at the venue in a white luxury Mercedes at around 8:30 PM, accompanied by the baraatis. The air resonated with the beats of dhol-nagadas, festive lights, and elaborate decorations. Annu Rani’s family welcomed the procession with traditional songs. Local dignitaries, including MP Dr. Rajkumar Sangwan and District Panchayat President Gaurav Chaudhary, attended the ceremony, adding to its prestige.

Vedic Rituals and Seven Sacred Pheras

Upon reaching the stage, Annu and Sahil exchanged garlands in a joyful jaimala ceremony, complemented by a floral shower that enhanced the celebratory mood. Amidst cheers, hars firing was also carried out, which went viral on social media later. Following the jaimala, the priests performed the Vedic rituals, and the couple completed the seven sacred pheras around the holy fire, pledging a lifelong commitment to each other. Family members and guests blessed the newlyweds, wishing them a bright future together.
