
Jabalpur, January 17, 2026: A sensational video circulating on social media has set off alarm bells within the Jabalpur Police Department. The video, posted from an Instagram account named “Gangster Selvan”, claims to be selling old ‘Dial 100’ police vehicles and includes a mobile number for potential buyers.
Video Filmed in Restricted Area
Additional Superintendent of Police, Suryakant Sharma, confirmed that the vehicles featured in the video are indeed parked at the police lines yard. He emphasized that filming videos within the police lines is strictly prohibited. “The police have been made aware of this viral video, and it is being investigated,” Sharma said.
Investigation Underway
Authorities have instructed the Cyber Cell to probe the matter. The police are also investigating the motive behind the video and its online circulation. Strict action will be taken against those responsible for filming and uploading the video. The incident has caused considerable concern within the police department.

The 50-second video shows several vehicles clearly marked with ‘Police’ and ‘Dial 100’. Some of the car bonnets and gates are open, and four to five young men are seen inspecting the vehicles. The video explicitly mentions reselling the vehicles and provides a contact number for interested buyers.
The Jabalpur Police are taking the matter seriously and have launched a detailed inquiry to identify and take action against those involved.
