Indore Woman Murdered by Husband After Eight Years of Marital Discord, Police Arrest Accused

Indore: In a shocking case from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the police have arrested a man for allegedly murdering his wife. During questioning, the accused revealed that he killed his wife because she had refused to maintain marital relations with him for the past eight years.

The incident came to light on January 9, when a 40-year-old woman was found dead. Her husband brought her to the hospital, fabricating a story that she had fainted due to high blood pressure, fell, and sustained a head injury which led to her death. However, the post-mortem report contradicted his claim, revealing the horrifying truth behind her death.

During a rigorous interrogation, the accused, identified as Madhav Chauhan, reportedly confessed that he had killed his wife out of frustration over her refusal to engage in physical relations for the past eight years. He admitted that an argument escalated, and in a fit of rage, he strangled her.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shri Krishna Lalchandani confirmed that the incident occurred in the Aerodrome police station area on January 9. “The husband initially claimed that his wife’s death was caused by a sudden spike in blood pressure leading to a fall,” DCP Lalchandani said. “However, the post-mortem examination revealed that the cause of death was strangulation.”

The DCP further stated that the accused is a professional mechanic. Following his confession, the police formally arrested him on Sunday. A detailed investigation into the case is currently underway.

This case has left the local community shocked and raised serious questions about domestic violence and marital disputes.
