Indore Tragedy: Three Killed as Car Crashes into Truck; Bala Bachchan’s Daughter Among Victims

Indore: A devastating road accident occurred in Indore early Friday morning when a speeding car collided with a truck near Ralamandal on the bypass, claiming the lives of three young people. Among the deceased are Prerna Bachchan, daughter of former Home Minister Bala Bachchan, and Prakhar Kasliwal, son of Congress state spokesperson Anand Kasliwal. A fourth passenger, a young woman named Anushka, was critically injured and admitted to a private hospital.

According to police, the accident happened around 5 a.m. The grey Nexon car (MP 13 ZS 8994) lost control and hit the truck from behind with tremendous force, leaving the vehicle completely mangled. Rescue teams had to cut open the car to retrieve the bodies. The victims were returning from a birthday party at a farmhouse, with Prakhar Kasliwal driving the car. Authorities also found alcohol bottles inside the vehicle, raising suspicions of driving under the influence.

The victims hailed from different areas of Indore: Prerna Bachchan from Scheme No. 74, Prakhar Kasliwal from Tilak Nagar, and Mansindhu from Bhanwarkua. The injured Anushka resides in the Royal Amar Green area. Mansindhu’s family runs a transport business.

The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the collision. Police have registered a case and launched a search for him. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath expressed profound grief on social media, extending condolences to the bereaved families. Prerna Bachchan’s last rites are scheduled for this evening in her ancestral village in Barwani.
