Indore: A minor incident at Gautam Bus Travels depot turned violent when three men attacked a passerby, leaving him seriously injured. The entire episode was captured on CCTV, aiding police in their investigation.
The Incident
The victim, Suresh, son of Chinkak Chaudhary from Manjharia, Uttar Pradesh, had just gotten off a bus to get breakfast. As he walked past, his hand accidentally brushed against Harsh Sonkar, who immediately reacted with verbal abuse. Within moments, Harsh’s companions Sachin and Shakti alias Chhotu joined in, surrounding and assaulting Suresh.
Stabbing Injury
During the attack, Sachin drew a knife and stabbed Suresh in the abdomen, causing serious injuries. Two friends accompanying Suresh, Hitesh and Vikas, managed to help him reach MY Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Police Action
Indore police have registered a case against Harsh, Sachin, and Shakti under sections covering assault, abusive behavior, and stabbing. The accused are currently in custody, and police are questioning them to understand the motive further. Preliminary findings suggest the altercation started simply because of the accidental hand contact, although authorities are investigating all angles.
The CCTV footage clearly shows the trio surrounding and attacking Suresh, confirming the deliberate and violent nature of the assault.
