Indore MBA Girl Murder Case: Accused Piyush Evades Questions, Writes “I Want to Die” on Paper

Indore, Madhya Pradesh: In the shocking murder case of an MBA student in Indore, the accused, Piyush Dhanotia, was brought to the crime scene for police reconstruction. When questioned by journalists about the motive, Piyush reportedly laughed and said, “Leave it, yaar. What will you achieve by knowing the reason? Just leave it, whatever happened has happened.”

Refuses to Reveal Motive

Piyush declined to explain why he committed the crime. When asked if he regretted his actions, he gave a faint smile and said he would respond in due time. During the scene reconstruction, he remained unusually calm. Police noted that his behavior during questioning was strange, and immediately after the crime, he had expressed a desire to communicate with the victim’s spirit.

Suicidal Thoughts Revealed

During interrogation, Piyush admitted that he had contemplated suicide, including jumping in front of a train, though he later changed his mind. At one point, he reportedly requested a plain sheet of paper and wrote that he had made a grave mistake and wanted to die. He also repeatedly requested to meet the victim, claiming, “I loved her.”

Police Investigation Findings

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Krishan Lalchandani revealed that Piyush had watched videos related to black magic and was searching for ways to end his life, though he never attempted to harm himself. Investigators also learned that he suspected the victim of talking to someone else, which contributed to his actions.

Brutality of the Crime

The MBA student’s body was discovered on February 13 in Piyush’s room. Police said that after the murder, he consumed alcohol and committed acts of sexual violence with the body. Following the crime, he fled to Mumbai but was later arrested by Indore police. During his detention, he attempted rituals to communicate with the victim’s spirit. Piyush was brought back to Indore and placed under a three-day police remand, which has now concluded.
