
Jaipur: Residents and tourists in Jaipur are in for a spectacular treat as the Indian Air Force (IAF) gears up for an air show over the iconic Jal Mahal on February 20 and 22, 2026. The famous Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) will perform breathtaking stunts with their nine Hawk Mk-132 aircraft, showcasing precision, skill, and valor.
Thrilling Aerial Stunts
The show will feature daring maneuvers such as diamond formation, loops, mirror runs, and wine glass formations, with aircraft leaving trails of smoke in the colors of the Indian tricolor. Spectators can also expect barrel rolls, crossovers, inverted flying, and heart-shaped maneuvers. At several points, planes will fly less than five meters apart, creating an unforgettable visual spectacle. The display will range from 100 to 1,000 feet, offering a close-up view of the IAF’s agility and prowess.
Jaipur Pilots to Take Part
Adding to the excitement, three pilots from Jaipur will participate in the show. Wing Commander Rajesh Kajla, Squadron Leader Ankit Vashisth, and Squadron Leader Sanjesh Singh will perform alongside the team, making it a proud moment for the Pink City. The team is led by Group Captain Ajay Dashrathi.
About the Surya Kiran Team
The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team is renowned for precise timing, low-level passes, and gravity-defying formations. Comprising 14 highly experienced pilots, the team members have flown various fighter aircraft and accumulated thousands of flight hours. Their synchronized performances, with nine aircraft flying together, form spectacular shapes in the sky in a matter of seconds, leaving the audience in awe.
Following the Jaipur show, the team is also scheduled to perform in Sikar, pending final approvals.
