India-US Trade Deal Finalized: BJP Chief Ministers Praise PM Modi’s Visionary Diplomacy

Following the finalization of the India-US trade agreement, chief ministers of BJP-ruled states have lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his strategic diplomacy. The deal, which reduces American tariffs on Indian goods to 18%, has been described as a historic milestone in India-US economic partnership. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta termed the agreement “another major outcome of PM Modi’s farsighted diplomacy,” highlighting its potential to boost Indian exports and global economic influence.

State Leaders Hail the Agreement

  • Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath called it a “historic moment” for India-US economic relations, emphasizing that it will expand the reach of Indian products worldwide and create opportunities for youth and MSMEs. He credited PM Modi’s decisive leadership for strengthening bilateral ties.
  • Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis described the deal as “a true victory of friendship” between India and the US, noting that India now enjoys preferential tariff treatment in one of the world’s largest markets. He said it opens “exciting possibilities for Indian businesses” and marks the start of a new era in bilateral relations.
  • Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma praised PM Modi’s globally respected leadership, stating the agreement will create “new avenues for collaboration between the peoples of both nations” and provide opportunities for youth, farmers, and MSMEs.
  • Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi called it “historic progress” in India-US economic ties, highlighting the boost it provides to manufacturing, MSMEs, exporters, and job creation, while also opening new markets for startups and entrepreneurs.

The trade deal is expected to enhance India’s global economic footprint, strengthen bilateral relations, and create broader opportunities for Indian businesses across sectors.
