Jaipur, December 12, 2025: Rajasthan BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya, known for his fiery statements, has once again stirred controversy after a video surfaced showing him issuing verbal threats to municipal officials over alleged illegal construction in Jaipur. In the viral clip, Acharya can be heard shouting over the phone, saying, “He’s hand in glove… I’ll thrash him right at this intersection and even record a video.”
The incident unfolded in Meena Colony after residents complained about illegal construction at a property previously sealed by the Jaipur Municipal Corporation. When Acharya reached the spot, he allegedly found construction work underway despite the sealing order. Accusing corporation officials of collusion, the MLA publicly expressed anger and demanded immediate action.
As no municipal official arrived despite repeated calls, Acharya’s anger intensified. In the video, he is heard saying, “I’ll deal with him… it’s out of my control now… he’ll die… if he doesn’t listen to me, this is what will happen to him.” A woman officer is also seen attempting to call a senior official, but when the call went unanswered, Acharya made further harsh comments.
Opposition Slams MLA’s Language; Supporters Defend His Frustration
Following the video’s circulation, opposition parties sharply criticized the MLA’s choice of words. The Congress termed his remarks “unbecoming of an elected representative” and demanded accountability.
However, Acharya’s supporters defended him, arguing that repeated negligence and alleged corruption within the municipal corporation had allowed illegal constructions to flourish, causing distress to local residents. Social media users remain divided—while some praise the MLA for taking strong action against illegal activity, others urge him to maintain restraint and adopt more dignified language.
As of now, the MLA has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
