Patna, Bihar: In a brazen attack challenging law and order as well as women’s safety, miscreants in Patna allegedly targeted the daughter of a police officer, subjecting her to harassment and abuse in broad daylight. The incident occurred in the Samanpura area of Rajabazar, leaving the family in shock and fear.
Assault and Threats
The victim, a bank employee posted in Boring Road, Patna, is the daughter of a Sub-Inspector stationed in Bhagalpur. According to reports, when she resisted the harassment, the culprits assaulted her brother who came to her defense. Shockingly, the attackers issued explicit threats to abduct both mother and daughter or force them out of Patna, even in the presence of police officers on site.
“The miscreants have been following and harassing me for several days. On Thursday, when I objected, they became violent. Even when the police arrived, they showed no fear and continued to threaten and attack my family,” the victim said.
Family in Fear
The victim’s family is reportedly traumatized and living in constant fear. The bank employee added that she now hesitates to leave her house due to the threat posed by the attackers. The incident has raised serious concerns about women’s safety and the protection of law enforcement families.
Police Action Underway
Shastri Nagar police have registered a formal complaint and launched an investigation. Authorities are identifying the culprits and conducting raids to apprehend them. CCTV footage from the area is being scrutinized to gather concrete evidence. Police officials have assured the family of strict action and protection, though no arrests have been made so far.
