Sultanpur.
A schoolteacher from Sultanpur district has lodged an FIR against a local youth for allegedly posting objectionable photos of him on Facebook and issuing death threats. The incident has left the teacher and his family in a state of fear, prompting urgent police intervention.
Objectionable Photo Posted on Facebook; Teacher Claims Social and Mental Harassment
The victim, a teacher working at a junior high school in Gauriganj, Amethi, stated that on 1 February, Krishna Singh alias Krishnadev Singh, a resident of the same village, uploaded an objectionable photograph of him on Facebook and spread misleading claims.
According to the teacher, the act caused him “mental, social and financial damage.”
He subsequently sent a legal notice to the accused through registered post on 12 February, but received no response.
Death Threat: “Now I Will Kill You and Make a Real Video Viral”
The situation escalated on 23 November, when the teacher visited his home. He alleges that Krishna Singh confronted him, abused him with obscene language, and threatened him over the legal notice.
The accused reportedly told him:
“I only posted a fake death video earlier. This time I will kill you and make the real video viral.”
Fearing for his life, the teacher said his parents, wife and children—who live at home while he works far away—are terrified that the accused could harm them at any time.
Teacher Appeals for Strict Legal Action
The teacher approached the Kadipur Circle Officer, seeking immediate FIR registration for public defamation, abuse, threats, and non-compliance with legal notice. Following his complaint, the Kadipur police registered a case.
Station House Officer (SHO) Shyam Sundar confirmed:
“A case has been filed based on the written complaint. The matter is under investigation.”
