‘I Am Being Trapped in a False Love Jihad Case’: Firoz Releases Video After FIR, Alleges ₹5 Lakh Extortion Attempt

Aligarh:
A high-profile ‘Love Jihad’ case from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, has taken a dramatic turn after the accused, Firoz, released a video publicly denying all allegations and accusing the complainant of attempting to extort ₹5 lakh from him.

The case, which has drawn comparisons with the film The Kerala Story, involves serious allegations of identity fraud, forced religious conversion, sexual exploitation, blackmail, and abandonment. Following the registration of an FIR, Firoz has now come forward with his version of events, claiming that the accusations against him are false and motivated by monetary demands.

Firoz’s Version: “Consensual Relationship, No Deception”

In the video, Firoz identifies himself as a resident of Tarasur Khurd and states that he works in a factory where he met the woman around two to two-and-a-half years ago. According to him, the two gradually developed a close relationship while working together.

“She is now accusing me of ‘Love Jihad’, which is completely false,” Firoz said, adding that the relationship was mutual and consensual.

He also questioned the authenticity of the documents produced by the woman, alleging that the nikah papers are forged.
“Proper nikah documents carry a mosque seal and are entered into official registers. I demand a thorough investigation of these papers,” he said.

Claims of Financial Support and Property Investment

Firoz further claimed that he had financially supported the woman, stating that he had given her ₹6–7 lakh, purchased a plot of land, and was constructing a house for her.
“I have deposited money into her bank account. I have all the receipts and proof,” he asserted.

He alleged that the woman recently demanded ₹5 lakh more, and when he refused, she approached the media and police, resulting in the FIR and widespread media coverage branding him a “Love Jihad accused”.

“I request the police to conduct a fair and deep investigation. The truth will come out,” Firoz said in the video.

The Woman’s Allegations: Identity Change, Conversion, Threats

The complainant, a resident of Rorawar, has alleged that Firoz initially introduced himself as ‘Rakesh’, lured her with promises of employment, and later drugged and sexually exploited her, secretly recording obscene videos to blackmail her.

She claims she was forced to convert her religion, renamed Aliya, and married through nikah. According to her complaint, after marriage, Firoz abandoned her and later threatened to kill her, allegedly warning that she would be sent to a slaughterhouse if she protested.

The woman further stated that she now has a small child and is struggling alone for justice. She has approached the SSP’s office, demanding strict action against the accused.

FIR Registered, Investigation Underway

Police have registered a case against Firoz under serious sections related to cheating, rape, blackmail, criminal intimidation, and religious fraud. Officials have confirmed that the matter is under investigation and that both sides’ claims are being verified, including financial transactions and alleged conversion documents.

A Case of Allegations vs Counter-Allegations

With contradictory claims from both parties, the case has become a complex mix of criminal accusations, personal disputes, and political-social sensitivity. Authorities say that technical evidence, financial records, and document verification will play a key role in determining the truth.

For now, the case remains under investigation, as police attempt to separate fact from allegation in a matter that has sparked intense public debate.
