Husband Slits Wife’s Throat in Firozabad Over Dispute About Son

Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident, a husband in Firozabad allegedly slit his wife’s throat, sparking horror across the village. The dispute reportedly arose over their 20-year-old son, who is currently lodged in a Delhi jail for a theft case.

The couple, residents of Nagla Nande village under Nagla Khangar police station, had been living together for 22 years. Early in the morning, a disagreement over their son escalated, prompting Ashutosh to allegedly attack his wife Lata, fatally cutting her throat.

Police arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the distress call. The body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination to confirm the exact cause and time of death. Ashutosh has been taken into custody for questioning.

Sirsaganj Circle Officer Anivesh Kumar stated that a police team reached the scene promptly and collected evidence. Given the gravity of the case, a thorough investigation is underway. Officials confirmed that the couple’s son has been in jail for a theft-related case, which appears to have triggered the confrontation.
