Husband Catches Wife With Alleged Lover in Jhansi Hotel, Dramatic Scene Unfolds

A dramatic incident involving a married couple and an alleged lover came to light in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, after a husband reached a hotel with police and found his wife in a room with another man. The episode led to a heated confrontation in the presence of police personnel.

According to the husband, a resident of Simaraha village, he married his wife three years ago. However, marital discord began soon after the wedding, and disputes between the couple have continued for nearly two years. The woman had also filed a case against her husband earlier. Although police intervention once led to a compromise, tensions resurfaced within a month, following which the couple started living separately.

The husband alleged that his wife, who works at a school, was in a relationship with another man and frequently met him. On January 11, he reportedly learned that his wife was roaming around with her alleged lover. He followed them and saw the two enter a hotel near the bus stand. He immediately informed the police.

When police reached the hotel room, the woman was found with the man, who allegedly tried to hide under the bed on seeing the police. A scene ensued at the hotel, during which the woman openly told those present that her husband had not lived with her for the past two years. “I came to the hotel of my own free will. What else was I supposed to do?” she reportedly said.

Police took the husband, wife and the alleged lover to the police station for questioning. The husband filed a complaint against his wife and the man. Police officials said action was taken against the alleged lover under preventive sections related to breach of peace.

Confirming the incident, Station House Officer Ravi Srivastava said that a dispute between the husband and wife had been ongoing for some time and that necessary legal action was taken as per procedure.
