Husband Brutally Attacks Wife Outside Mathura Court Amid Divorce Proceedings

Mathura: A shocking incident unfolded in the Kachahari area of Mathura on Monday when a husband allegedly attacked his wife in broad daylight, leaving her seriously injured. The incident occurred near the Civil Lines area, and police have registered a case against the accused, who remains at large.

According to reports, Sunil Kumar, a resident of the Magorra area, has been involved in a divorce dispute with his wife Nidhi for the past two years. On Monday, both had come to the court for a hearing. After the proceedings, the couple sat on the footpath outside the court and began discussing the matter, which quickly escalated into an argument.

Brutal Assault with Stone

Eyewitnesses allege that Sunil pushed Nidhi to the ground and started beating her with fists and kicks. The situation worsened when he picked up a heavy stone nearby and repeatedly struck her on the head. The violent assault was captured on video, which has since gone viral on social media.

Despite Nidhi screaming in pain, Sunil continued the attack until bystanders intervened and rescued her. The accused then fled the scene. Nidhi was immediately admitted to a hospital for treatment, and police are actively searching for Sunil.

Divorce and Child Custody Dispute

Sunil and Nidhi were married in 2014 and have two children—a 10-year-old son, Yash, and a 7-year-old daughter, Harshita. The ongoing divorce case also involves a custody dispute over the children.

Police have filed a case under relevant sections of the law, and further investigation is underway.
