How Shamli’s Azad Infiltrated Global Terror Network ISKP: Retaliation Plan for Operation Sindoor Uncovered

Shamli, UP: The arrest of Azad Ahmed, a resident of Jhijhak in Shamli, Ahmedabad, has sent shockwaves through security agencies. Initial investigations reveal that Azad had direct links with the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), a global terrorist network. Digital evidence shows that Azad and his associate from Hyderabad were in contact with Abu Khadija, a notorious ISKP operative active in Afghanistan.

Direct Link from Shamli to ISKP
This is the first time that a connection from Shamli district has been traced directly to an international terrorist organization like ISKP. The network was allegedly working to radicalize youths and expand its reach across Western UP, Delhi, and surrounding areas. Intelligence sources reveal that Azad was part of a retaliation plan orchestrated by ISKP terrorists following the large-scale Operation Sindoor, targeting India.

40-Day Religious Training in Kolkata
According to Azad’s family, he has been receiving religious education at a madrasa in Budhana for the past six years. His father, Suleman Ahmed, stated that Azad used to return to the madrasa every Saturday. Recently, he went on a 40-day training program from Delhi to Kolkata. Agencies are now identifying other participants in this program and tracing their connections.

ISKP’s Formation and Ideology
Security agencies confirm that ISKP was established in 2015 along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border as the South Asian branch of ISIS. Its objective is to expand the Islamic Caliphate in South and Central Asia. The network promotes Deobandi and radical Islamic ideology, exploiting issues related to Pakistan and Kashmir to destabilize India.

Shamli on the Terror Map Again
In recent years, individuals like Iqbal Kana and Dilshad Mirza from nearby regions have traveled to Pakistan and joined ISIS. Azad’s involvement has placed Shamli back on India’s terror map. Intelligence sources claim that ISKP operative Mohammed Tanzim and his supporters were planning to retaliate against India through Operation Sindoor, and Azad was trained to strengthen ISKP’s roots in Western UP.

Joint Investigation Underway
A joint team of ATS, NIA, and Intelligence Bureau is currently conducting an in-depth investigation into Azad’s activities, his training, and ISKP’s expanding network in India.
