Hotel Operator and Friend Shot Dead in Aligarh, Police Recover Bodies from Abandoned Car

A sensational double murder has shocked Aligarh after a hotel operator and his friend were found shot dead inside a car parked along a roadside. Police broke the car’s windows to retrieve the bodies, triggering panic and outrage in the area.

The incident came to light in the Khair police station area on the Somna Road near Udaipur village, where local residents alerted police about an abandoned car standing suspiciously on the roadside. Upon reaching the spot, police peered inside the vehicle and found two bodies lying motionless. The windows were broken to access the car, and both bodies were taken out and sent for post-mortem examination.

Senior police officials, including SSP Neeraj Jadaun, rushed to the crime scene along with heavy police force. A forensic team and dog squad were also deployed to collect evidence and reconstruct the sequence of events.

Victims Identified

The deceased have been identified as Bobby (32), a hotel operator who ran an OYO hotel under the name BK Arya near the Khereshwar Highway Bypass, and his friend Mohit (24), a factory worker. Both were residents of Tajpur Rasoolpur under Bannadevi police station limits and hailed from the same village.

Police said Bobby’s body was found on the front passenger seat, while Mohit’s body was located on the rear seat of the car. Preliminary investigation suggests that both were shot dead at close range.

Family in Shock

After the identification of the victims through the vehicle’s registration number, police informed their families. The news of the brutal killings plunged both families into deep shock, with scenes of grief reported at their residences.

The double murder reportedly took place on Thursday evening, December 25. Police believe the victims were murdered elsewhere or inside the vehicle before it was abandoned on the roadside.

Investigation Underway

SSP Neeraj Jadaun stated that special teams have been constituted to crack the case at the earliest. “Two bodies have been recovered from a car parked on the roadside. Post-mortem reports will provide further clarity. Several suspects are being questioned, and the case will be solved soon,” he said.

The brutal nature of the killings has raised serious concerns about law and order in the region. Police are investigating all possible angles, including personal enmity, business rivalry, and criminal conspiracy.
