High-Drama at Narmadapuram Collectorate: Tehsildar Confronts Petitioners in Half-Naked Protest

Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh: A bizarre incident unfolded at the Narmadapuram collectorate on Tuesday during a public grievance hearing when two brothers from Seoni Malwa arrived half-naked, holding shrouds and garlands, chanting “Ram Naam Satya Hai” to demand justice for a longstanding land dispute.

Tehsildar Sarita Malviya, present at the collectorate, was visibly angered by the dramatic protest. She warned the petitioners sharply, saying, “Stop this theatrics, or I will call the police to bring everyone inside.” The family, desperate for attention, fell at the tehsildar’s feet, pleading for justice, but insisted on meeting the collector, claiming that their grievances had been ignored for months.

Despite the stern warning, the petitioners maintained their composure. The tehsildar eventually escorted them inside the office. During the process, a government official suggested leaving the shrouds and flowers outside, but the family refused, insisting on carrying them in to highlight their plight.

The tehsildar and SDM Jai Solanki later calmed the situation, asking the family to cover themselves properly. The incident highlighted the intensity of local frustrations over delayed grievance redressal and the extraordinary lengths to which citizens sometimes go to demand justice.
