Delhi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with his wife Kalpana Soren, arrived in Delhi on Monday to attend a grand reception hosted for the son of Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar. The reception is expected to see the presence of numerous senior political leaders and VVIPs from across the country.
The reception celebrates the marriage of Apoorv Gangwar and Sanjana, which took place on 10 December in Bareilly. Following the wedding, a lavish reception was organized in Delhi on 16 December, where the Chief Minister and his wife were invited as special guests.
Sources indicate that CM Soren is likely to return to Ranchi on 17 December, during which he may hold formal and political meetings.
The Bareilly wedding itself had attracted several prominent political figures, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Dayashankar Singh, and Minister of State Sanjay Singh Gangwar.

He has served in the Union Government in key roles including Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour & Employment, Finance Minister of State, Textiles Minister of State, Petroleum Minister of State, and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs. He took oath as the Governor of Jharkhand on 31 July 2024.
The reception in Delhi not only highlights the personal celebration of the Governor’s family but also brings together a notable gathering of political and social dignitaries, reflecting Jharkhand’s prominence in the national political landscape.
