Helicopter Service Launched at Mehandipur Balaji, Boosting Religious Tourism

Dausa, Rajasthan: A new helicopter service has been inaugurated at the famous Mehandipur Balaji Temple, offering devotees a unique aerial experience and giving a significant boost to religious tourism. In its initial phase, the helicopter carried five passengers, marking the beginning of this sky-bound facility.

Inauguration and Reception
The service began on Monday at the helipad near Mehandipur Balaji police station. As the helicopter touched down at 11 AM, a wave of excitement spread among the crowd. Local schoolgirls welcomed the pilot, Abhay Gurjar, in a traditional manner, adding a vibrant cultural touch to the occasion.

Operational Details
According to Manoj Piparsania, advisor to the operating company, the service started with one helicopter, which could be increased to eight based on demand. The company owns a total of eight helicopters and two jets, ensuring that aerial traffic will not pose a challenge in the district.

Fares and Capacity
For the initial phase, the charge for flying five passengers from Pinan to Mehandipur Balaji has been set at ₹36,000. The fare may vary slightly depending on passenger weight. The company has signed a three-year MoU with the state government and is open to expanding the service if there is a positive response from tourists.

Fixed Landing Fee and Administrative Support
District Collector Devendra Kumar Yadav highlighted that this facility will not only benefit devotees but also give a new boost to the local economy. Under the MoU with the tourism department, a fixed landing fee of ₹5,000 has been established for each landing. The administration has expressed willingness to facilitate other private companies wishing to provide similar services.

Special Ceremonial Flight
The launch was made even more special by the presence of local legislators, including Bandikui MLA Bhaghchand Tankra, Sikrai MLA Vikram Bansiwal, Mahuwa MLA Rajendra Meena, and Lalsot MLA Ramvilas Meena. During the inaugural flight, the helicopter flew over Mehandipur Balaji Temple and the nearby Bhairav Baba Temple on the hill, showering flowers over the devotees below—creating a visually stunning and spiritually uplifting spectacle.

This new helicopter service is set to redefine the pilgrimage experience at Mehandipur Balaji, blending devotion with modern convenience and boosting tourism in the region.
