
Ayodhya/Lucknow: Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the president of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, has experienced a sudden decline in his health and has been referred to Medanta Hospital, Lucknow for specialized treatment.
Reported by V.N. Das from Ayodhya, the spiritual leader, who also heads the Maniram Chhawni monastery, had not eaten anything for the past 36 hours. Due to persistent vomiting and diarrhea, his condition worsened, prompting immediate medical attention. He was initially examined by retired Dr. S.K. Pathak at Shri Ram Hospital, Ayodhya. Seeing no significant improvement, doctors advised transferring him to Medanta Hospital for further treatment under expert supervision.
Mahant Kamalnayan Das, successor of the Maniram Chhawni monastery, accompanied Mahant Nritya Gopal Das to Lucknow. Last year, the Mahant had faced a serious health crisis and recovered following treatment at Medanta Hospital. The sudden deterioration has caused concern among his followers.
Background
Mahant Nritya Gopal Das hails from a Brahmin family in Mathura. After completing his early education, he renounced worldly life and dedicated himself to spiritual and religious pursuits, eventually settling in Ayodhya. He has played a prominent role in the Ram Mandir movement and continues to actively support the construction of the temple. Previously, he also served as the president of the Krishnabhumi Trust.
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has confirmed that Mahant Nritya Gopal Das is receiving treatment under the supervision of specialist doctors at Medanta Hospital, and updates on his condition will be provided as necessary.
