Haryana Woman Files Complaint After Husband Lives in “Live-in” Relationships with Three Women

Rohtak, Haryana: In a shocking revelation, a woman has approached the Haryana State Women’s Commission alleging that her husband, despite being married, is in live-in relationships with three other women. The complaint reportedly includes photographs and other evidence corroborating her claims.

Chairperson Renu Bhatia confirmed the complaint during her two-day visit to Rohtak, where she participated as the chief guest at a legal and cybercrime awareness program held at PM Shri Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Model Town. She stated that the woman’s marriage had been conducted following traditional rituals with consent from both families. However, the husband allegedly continued relationships with multiple women in violation of his marital commitment.

Action Planned by Women’s Commission

The Haryana State Women’s Commission has assured that it will take appropriate action based on the evidence presented. Bhatia also highlighted another similar case in which a married man reportedly deceived a young woman through a live-in relationship and committed sexual assault.

Warning for Women

Bhatia emphasized that live-in relationships gone wrong, whether due to men or women, often ruin both parties’ lives. She warned women to exercise caution, noting that some men, despite being married, mislead women into live-in arrangements, which typically end badly. She urged women to avoid such relationships to protect themselves from emotional and social harm.

Awareness Programs and Outreach

Earlier, Bhatia conducted cybercrime awareness sessions for schoolgirls, stressing the growing risk of young people falling victim to online crimes. She advised students on how to stay safe and underscored the importance of legal awareness in preventing crimes against women. The chairperson also visited Rohtak Jail as part of her tour to oversee legal and safety measures.
