Faridabad: A tragic road accident in Faridabad district claimed the life of a farmer and left another critically injured when a speeding car collided with their motorcycle. The incident occurred as the two farmers were returning from selling vegetables at Dabua Vegetable Market.
According to reports, the accident happened near Dhauj Bee Bhandar when the car struck the motorcycle head-on. Both farmers were thrown onto the road and remained in severe pain for nearly half an hour, as no passerby offered assistance. Eventually, a bystander called their family, who rushed to the scene and arranged for their transfer to BK Hospital. Doctors pronounced Vedram dead, while the second farmer, Vinod, was seriously injured and later referred for further treatment at another private hospital due to alleged inadequate care at BK Hospital.
Victim’s Account
The deceased farmer’s son, Manoj, a resident of Mirzapur village in Etah district, Uttar Pradesh, filed a complaint with Dhauj police. He stated that he and Vinod Singh had gone to Dabua Vegetable Market to sell produce and were returning to their workplace at Sirohi Farm House, where they work for farmer Raj Singh.
Manoj explained that Vinod was driving the motorcycle while Vedram was seated behind him. As they reached near Dhauj Bee Bhandar, a red-colored car, reportedly driven recklessly and at high speed, collided directly with their motorcycle, throwing both men onto the road and causing serious injuries.
Family Accuses Passersby and Hospital
Manoj alleged that the victims were left writhing on the road for nearly 30 minutes without help. When family members finally arrived, they transported the injured to BK Hospital. Vedram was declared dead, while Vinod received only preliminary treatment. The family claims that Vinod was left largely unattended at the hospital, with doctors providing minimal care before the evening, forcing them to move him to a private hospital in Gonchi for proper treatment.
Following the complaint by Vedram’s son, police have registered a case against the driver of the red car.
This heartbreaking incident highlights not only the dangers posed by reckless driving but also raises questions about emergency response and public responsibility on roads.
