Gurgaon Bulldozer Action: Authorities Demolish 100 Illegal Shops of Notorious Gangster Ricky

Gurgaon, Haryana: In a major crackdown on illegal encroachments, Gurgaon authorities demolished nearly 100 shops built on government land by notorious criminal Ricky in Khandsa. The operation, carried out on Tuesday, involved a strong police presence to ensure smooth execution. Ricky, already facing 31 serious criminal cases, had reportedly been operating these illegal establishments for months.

Illegal Occupation and Extortion
According to officials, Ricky, aged 29, began encroaching on HSIIDC (Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation) land gradually, constructing approximately 100 temporary shops and 10 permanent structures. These shops generated an estimated ₹5–6 lakh per month in illegal extortion. Despite repeated complaints and previous jail terms, the accused continued his activities unchecked until authorities intervened.

Criminal Background
Ricky has a long history of criminal activities, including assault, extortion, unlawful possession of arms, attempted murder, and intimidation. He is currently in District Jail Bhondsi under an Arms Act case registered at Sector-50 Police Station, Gurgaon.

Coordinated Action
The demolition was executed under the supervision of Inspector Manjit of Sector-37 Police Station, along with officials from Town and Country Planning (DTP), HSIIDC senior manager Sanjay Kumar, A.M. Ajay Kumar, and Enforcement Officer Mohit. Nearly 80 police personnel ensured the operation was carried out without incident. Authorities confirmed that similar actions against criminal encroachments will continue.

This decisive move underscores the administration’s commitment to curbing illegal land grabs and maintaining law and order in the city.
