Google Expresses Interest in IT and Data Center Investments in Madhya Pradesh at Davos

Bhopal/Davos: During the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF), Google has expressed keen interest in investing in the IT and data center sector in Madhya Pradesh (MP), highlighting the state’s focus on innovation through its Gemini AI initiatives.

Discussions on IT and Data Center Projects
On Tuesday, MP officials held a detailed meeting with Sanjay Gupta, President of Google Asia Pacific, to discuss investment opportunities in the IT, ITES, and proposed data center projects in the state. Google confirmed its interest in expanding its footprint in these sectors, aligning with MP’s vision to become a major technological hub.

Innovation in Agriculture and Education through Gemini AI
The discussions also explored potential applications of Gemini AI in agriculture and education, with an emphasis on driving innovation and implementing digital solutions. Senior state officials, including Minister of New and Renewable Energy Rakesh Shukla, participated in the talks, reinforcing MP’s commitment to tech-driven development.

Madhya Pradesh’s Supportive Policy Framework
State representatives informed Google about MP’s policies ensuring reliable and sustainable power supply for IT and data center projects, including green energy-based initiatives. The delegation highlighted the state’s readiness to meet the specific requirements of global companies like Google, along with its conducive policy environment and collaborative approach.

Building MP as a Technology Hub
Sanjay Gupta acknowledged the state’s efforts and expressed agreement to support MP’s growth as an emerging technology center through IT infrastructure development, digital innovation, and skill enhancement initiatives.

Several investment proposals are expected to emerge from different sessions at WEF, with CM Mohan Yadav presenting the state’s policies and investment potential during his sessions.
