Good News for Noida Residents: Passport Application Process to Get Faster, Long Queues to End

Noida/Greater Noida: Getting a passport in Noida and Greater Noida is set to become faster and more convenient as the Passport Seva Kendra at Sector-19 Head Post Office has been expanded. The upgraded facility aims to reduce waiting times and handle a significantly higher volume of applications.

Expansion to Increase Application Capacity Fivefold

Senior Post Master Manoj Kumar said that the expansion includes new machines, additional counters, and other necessary infrastructure upgrades. Currently, the center processes 45 applications per day with verification appointments. After the expansion, verification appointments will increase to 90 per day. Once all five counters are operational, the center is expected to process over 250 applications daily—five times the current capacity.

Additional Facilities to Enhance Efficiency

Two more machines will soon be installed to further expedite processing. Three new counters have already been added, raising the total to five. This will make scheduling appointments easier and faster, eliminating long waits and reducing the need for residents to travel to Ghaziabad for passport services.

Resident Convenience and Faster Services

The upgrade ensures that residents can now complete both passport applications and document verification more smoothly. The enhanced facilities are designed to provide quicker service, making the passport issuance process much more efficient for the people of Gautam Buddha Nagar.

This step is expected to significantly ease the passport application process for Noida and Greater Noida residents, ensuring timely services and reducing long queues that have long been a source of frustration.
