Gorakhpur: Renowned for its century-long legacy in spiritual and religious publishing, Gita Press has launched a franchise scheme—its first in 100 years. The initiative aims to expand the reach of its spiritual and literary works while maintaining the high standards and values that have defined the press since its inception.
Franchise Rules and Conditions
Under the new scheme, franchisees are required to own their shops, which will exclusively sell Gita Press publications. No books from other publishers will be allowed in these stores. Each outlet will display an authorized Gita Press board outside, clearly marked as an “Exclusive Book Showroom.”
Benefits for Franchisees
Franchise partners will receive a 6% higher discount compared to ordinary booksellers. Moreover, only one exclusive showroom will be allowed per city, ensuring that franchisees can operate profitably while promoting Gita Press publications with complete dedication.
Nepal’s Butwal Gets First Outlet
The first franchise outlet has opened in Butwal, Nepal, marking the beginning of Gita Press’s international expansion. Lalmani Tiwari, the press manager, stated that anyone meeting the franchise requirements can apply. The goal is to preserve the ideals and values of Gita Press while reaching more readers across India and Nepal through exclusive showrooms.
With this historic step, Gita Press aims to bring its spiritual and literary treasures to a wider audience, ensuring the legacy continues for generations to come.
