Ghazipur/ Varanasi: The North Eastern Railway is set to carry out major track work on the Chapra-Oudihar section, impacting train operations in the Ghazipur region. Between Ghazipur City and Ankushpur stations, girder installation at Sampar Level Crossing No. 19C will require multiple railway blocks in December. As a result, several important trains will be diverted, and some may experience delays.
Train Diversions
- On 1, 2, 8, and 9 December, the 15054 Lucknow-Chapra Express will run via Oudihar-Mau-Indara-Phefna instead of its regular route.
- The 12562 Swatantrata Senani Express from New Delhi to Jaynagar will also be diverted via Oudihar-Indara-Phefna on the same dates.
- The 14015 Sadbhavna Express from Raxaul to Anand Vihar Terminal will travel via Phefna-Indara-Mau-Oudihar on 2 and 9 December.
Expected Delays
- The 22434 Express from Anand Vihar Terminal to Ghazipur City will be held for 30 minutes on 2 and 9 December.
- Similarly, the 22420 Express will experience a 30-minute control delay on 3 and 10 December.
Railway authorities have urged passengers to check the latest train status before traveling. Updated information is available through the Railway Helpline 139 or the NTES app.
