Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is moving forward with its ambitious Harnandipuram Township project, which promises world-class facilities for its residents. The township’s layout and Detailed Project Report (DPR) are now in the final stages of preparation. The appointed consultancy agency will present the first draft to officials on January 7, showcasing the initial plan for approximately 100 hectares of land, which will serve as the blueprint for further construction.
World-Class Infrastructure Planned
According to the DPR, the township will feature ultra-wide roads, a modern drainage system to prevent waterlogging, and 24-hour electricity and water supply. The plan divides the township into multiple zones, allocating spaces for parks, green belts, schools, large hospitals, and commercial complexes. Advanced security measures will also be implemented to ensure residents’ safety.
Agency Selection and DPR Approval
GDA Vice-Chairperson Nandkishore Kalal confirmed that the consultancy agency for the project has already been selected. “After the presentation on January 7, the first phase of the DPR and layout will be finalized. Our priority is to build a modern township where residents can access all essential amenities within the premises. Land acquisition is also underway,” he said.
Land Acquisition and Budget
The township plan spans 521 hectares, with the first phase budgeted at ₹1,200 crore. Land is being acquired from farmers across eight villages, with approximately 55 hectares already purchased and agreements reached for another 115 hectares.
Once completed, Harnandipuram Township aims to set a benchmark for modern urban living in Ghaziabad, combining comfort, safety, and sustainability within a single integrated community.
