Ghaziabad: Wife Cuts Husband’s Tongue in Heated Kitchen Dispute; Mother-in-Law Claims Alcohol and Smoking Issues

Ghaziabad: A domestic dispute over cooking turned violent in Sanjaypuri Colony, Modinagar, when a wife allegedly cut her husband’s tongue with a knife. The incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many speculating about the circumstances.

The couple, identified as Vipin and his wife Isha, reportedly had an argument after Isha, who is said to be fond of making social media reels, did not prepare dinner that night. In the ensuing quarrel, Vipin allegedly slapped Isha.

Mother-in-Law Speaks Out
Vipin’s mother, Geeta Devi, stated that she initially calmed the situation by ordering food from outside. After dinner, Vipin and Isha went to their room. Around 1 a.m., a commotion broke out, revealing that Isha had cut Vipin’s tongue.

Geeta Devi further alleged that Isha frequently consumed alcohol and smoked, which often led to arguments with her husband. She added that Isha not only abused and physically assaulted Vipin but also threatened self-harm to frame him and get him jailed.

Involvement of Isha’s Family
Following the attack, Isha reportedly went to the terrace, locked the stair gate, and called her family. Upon arrival, her relatives allegedly began assaulting Geeta Devi. Enraged neighbors intervened, and Isha along with her relatives were reportedly beaten by residents of the colony.

Police Action
ACP Amit Saxena confirmed that a complaint was filed by Geeta Devi, and the accused woman has been arrested. He stated that the violent incident occurred following a domestic dispute over cooking, and further legal proceedings are underway.
