Ghaziabad Tragedy: Three Sisters Commit Suicide, Father Reveals Final “Task” Connection

Ghaziabad witnessed a tragic incident when three sisters jumped from the 9th floor of their apartment in Bharat City Society, Teela Mod area, ending their lives. The father revealed that the girls were addicted to a Korean online gaming app, which may have played a role in the incident.

Influenced by Korean Culture and Mobile Gaming
The three sisters, aged 12, 14, and 16 — Rakhi, Prachi, and Nishika — reportedly stayed indoors most of the time. Neighbors said they were rarely seen playing in the society park, using the lift, or interacting with other children. Their father, Chetan Ram, mentioned that they had recently been restricted from using their mobile phones, which may have triggered the incident.

Additional Commissioner Keshav Chaudhary noted that the girls were influenced by Korean culture and were heavily attached to their mobile devices. However, so far, police have not found direct evidence linking the suicide to any specific gaming app or task.

The Suicide Note
Police recovered a suicide note from the girls’ room. In it, they wrote:
“True life story. Read everything in this diary because it’s all true. Read now. I am sorry, Papa, really sorry.”

Authorities are investigating all angles, including the possibility of a task-based Korean online game influencing their actions.

The “Final Task”
According to reports, Chetan Ram revealed that his daughters were playing a Korean online game with 50 tasks. “We had no idea that my daughters were addicted to such a dangerous game. The last task on the app was scheduled for the day they died,” he said.

It is suspected that the sisters completed this “final task” by jumping from the apartment window. They used a small two-step ladder to reach the window. Investigations indicate that the middle sister, Prachi, may have acted as a team leader in carrying out this act, though police are still examining the details.

Neighbors Recall Normal Behavior
Women from the society said that the girls behaved normally during recent visits, such as attending a local Navratri event at Kanjak Gym. The sisters reportedly became reclusive after schools were closed during the COVID-19 pandemic and rarely interacted with neighbors.

The police continue to probe the role of the gaming app, family environment, and other factors in this heartbreaking incident.
