Ghaziabad: Residents of Ghaziabad are set to receive a major green gift in 2026 with the completion of the city’s most ambitious environmental project — the Hindon Biodiversity Park. Being developed near the new bus terminal and behind Mahamaya Stadium, the park is rapidly taking shape on land that was once covered with garbage dumps.
The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation is fast-tracking the project to ensure that the park is opened to the public within the year, offering citizens a modern recreational and wellness destination.
Officials Inspect Progress, Stress Timely Completion
To review the pace and quality of construction, Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik conducted an on-site inspection along with senior officials. He directed the construction department to complete the project strictly within the stipulated deadline and emphasised that there should be no compromise on quality.
Municipal Health Officer Dr Mithilesh and Chief Engineer Narendra Kumar Chaudhary were also present during the inspection.

The Hindon Biodiversity Park is being developed over an expansive area of 63.2 acres at an estimated cost of ₹14.76 crore. Designed as a multi-purpose green space, the park aims to cater to people of all age groups.
Key attractions include a zipline for children and youth, a serene lotus pond, and a butterfly garden to enhance the park’s natural appeal. A dedicated research garden is also being developed to benefit students and researchers by promoting environmental education and biodiversity awareness.
Facilities for All Age Groups
According to the Municipal Commissioner, the park has been planned keeping the needs of all sections of society in mind. Facilities will include ample parking space, a restaurant and food court, long walking tracks, decorative fountains, and dense green landscaping to create a refreshing environment.
Completion Expected in 6–9 Months
Officials said the remaining construction work is expected to be completed within the next six to nine months. Once operational, the park is expected to become a popular destination for senior citizens, children, fitness enthusiasts, sportspersons and students alike.
The Hindon Biodiversity Park is also being seen as a major step towards improving Ghaziabad’s urban environment, promoting sustainable development, and transforming neglected land into a vibrant public asset.
