Ghaziabad:
The shocking case of three minor sisters allegedly committing suicide in a society located in Ghaziabad’s Trans Hindon area has now taken a dramatic turn. What initially appeared to be linked to mobile addiction and disturbing online games is now being investigated from an entirely different angle — the father’s personal life, criminal history, and multiple marriages.
Police officials have confirmed that the girls’ father allegedly had three registered marriages, which is considered a serious legal violation under Indian law. Investigators are now trying to determine how these marriages were officially registered despite bigamy being a punishable offence.
How Were Three Marriages Legally Registered?
According to the police investigation, the man’s first marriage took place in 2008. However, due to the couple not having children initially, he reportedly married his sister-in-law in 2013, effectively entering into a second marriage while the first wife was still alive.
Later, the man allegedly entered into a third marriage with a woman belonging to another religion. Police sources revealed that the woman was pregnant, following which she reportedly converted her religion and the two got married through a court marriage process.
Authorities are now examining the legal records and paperwork to understand how three marriages could be registered, as multiple marriages without legal divorce fall under criminal offence.
Details of the Children and Family Structure
Police stated that the deceased sisters included:
- A 16-year-old daughter from the first wife
- Two daughters aged 12 and 14 years from the second wife
The father reportedly had one son and one daughter from his first wife, while two daughters were born from his second marriage.
Two Live-in Relationships and a 2018 Suicide Link Under Probe
The case has further intensified after police uncovered that the father had allegedly been in live-in relationships with two young women in the past. Investigators are also examining a possible connection with the suicide of a woman in 2018, who reportedly jumped from a flat after a dispute.
Police believe this angle could be significant in understanding the psychological and domestic environment in which the girls were living.
DCP Trans Hindon Nimish Patil stated that the father’s criminal record is being thoroughly verified, and facts related to the 2018 suicide case are also being collected.
Credit Card Business Dispute and Personal Relationships
Police revealed that the father had started a business related to credit card services, where he employed two women. During this period, he allegedly developed a relationship with one of them and began living with her. Later, he reportedly hired another woman and entered into a live-in relationship with her as well.
After the 2018 incident, one woman died by suicide, while the other became pregnant, allegedly forcing him to marry her and shift to another flat.
Korean Horror Games and Mobile Addiction Angle Still Active
Initially, the case gained attention after police recovered a suicide note mentioning horror and thriller games such as:
- Poppy Playtime
- The Baby in Yellow
- Evil Nun
- Ice Scream Man
The girls reportedly wrote that they enjoyed playing such games regularly. However, police did not find any specific Korean games on the recovered phone.
Authorities have reportedly recommended the government to consider banning such games, citing concerns that they contain violent zombie attacks and frightening content.
Mobile Phone Recovered, Forensic Data Extraction Underway
Police also recovered a mobile phone that the father had sold about 15 days ago. The device has been sent for forensic analysis, and investigators are attempting to retrieve up to six months of deleted data.
Questioning of Relatives and Teacher Continues
Police have questioned the girls’ grandmother, who reportedly confirmed that the children were addicted to mobile gaming. The grandfather could not appear for questioning.
Their tuition teacher also revealed that the girls had recently started using Korean-style names and would become angry if called by their original names.
Investigation Continues
With multiple angles now emerging — including alleged illegal marriages, live-in relationships, past suicide links, and digital addiction — the Ghaziabad suicide case has become one of the most complex and disturbing investigations in recent times.
Police officials said the probe is ongoing and further revelations are expected after forensic reports and witness statements are fully analysed.
