Ghaziabad: Fresh revelations have emerged in the tragic case of three minor sisters—Nishika, Prachi and Pakhi—who allegedly jumped to their deaths from the ninth floor of a high-rise apartment in Ghaziabad. While the incident initially raised concerns about the influence of Korean culture and mobile addiction, new information about the girls’ father has added another disturbing dimension to the case.
According to reports, the focus of the investigation is now shifting toward the personal and financial life of the father, Chetan Kumar, whose alleged domestic situation has reportedly been far more complicated than earlier believed.
Father Allegedly Had Two Wives, Lived With Sister-in-Law
Family sources claim that Chetan Kumar had two marriages, and the three deceased daughters were born from these relationships. He was reportedly living in the same house with both wives and the three daughters.
However, the most controversial revelation is that despite already having two wives, Chetan allegedly brought his wife’s sister (the girls’ maternal aunt) into the household and began treating her as a partner as well. This reportedly triggered continuous tension and conflict within the family.
Both Wives Allegedly Left Home, Missing Till Date
Sources further claim that the situation worsened to the point where both wives eventually left the house after frequent disputes. Their whereabouts remain unknown, and their disappearance is reportedly registered as a missing complaint at Teela Mod Police Station. Police have allegedly failed to trace them so far.
Financial Crisis and Rising Debt
Chetan Kumar, who worked as a stock broker, is also said to have suffered major financial losses. Reports suggest he is currently under a debt burden of nearly ₹2 crore.
The financial stress reportedly affected the children’s education as well. Despite the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, the girls were allegedly withdrawn from school and were not sent back due to the family’s unstable financial condition.
Phones Sold to Pay Electricity Bill
The family’s condition was reportedly so severe that Chetan allegedly sold his daughters’ mobile phones to clear the flat’s electricity bill. Investigators believe such difficult domestic circumstances may have contributed significantly to the emotional distress of the three girls.
Investigation Ongoing
Authorities are continuing to investigate the case from all angles. Police officials believe the tragedy may not be linked to a single reason but rather a combination of factors including family conflict, financial burden, emotional stress, and lack of stability at home.
The Ghaziabad incident has once again raised serious concerns about mental health, family environment, and the hidden struggles faced by children behind closed doors.
