Ghaziabad, January 17, 2026: The release of Pinky Chaudhary, National President of the Hindu Raksha Dal, and her son from jail sparked a major public disturbance in Ghaziabad, as their supporters engaged in reckless behavior on the streets. The police have taken strict action, issuing fines totaling ₹5.5 lakh on 13 vehicles involved in stunts and unlawful activities.
According to Vibhush Mishra, Ghaziabad, supporters of Chaudhary reportedly performed stunts with cars and set off fireworks along public roads, causing chaos from Dasna Jail to Sahibabad. The incident was widely circulated on social media.
A few days prior, Pinky Chaudhary and her son had openly distributed swords to Hindus in the Shalimar Garden area. Acting on this information, the police arrested 10 of their supporters who were in possession of swords. The duo had briefly evaded arrest but were later apprehended by Sahibabad police from Wazirabad and sent to jail.
Following a court order on Thursday, both were released. During the release, a large crowd gathered outside the jail, and their supporters blatantly violated Section 163 (prohibition orders) already in effect in the city. DCP Trans-Hindon, Nimish Patil, confirmed that 13 vehicles involved in stunts were fined a total of ₹5.5 lakh.
Patil emphasized, “Those who take the law into their own hands will not be spared. Using video footage, we are identifying the individuals performing dangerous stunts, and further legal action will be taken against them.”
