Ghaziabad: Steel Gate Stolen From Recently Inaugurated Statue Site

Ghaziabad: A daring theft occurred at a statue site in Shalimar Garden, Ghaziabad, just days after its inauguration by Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak. CCTV footage reveals a thief stealing the main steel gate from the site, sparking outrage among local residents over police vigilance.

Incident Caught on CCTV
According to reports, the incident took place late Wednesday night. The CCTV footage shows a young man approaching the statue site and attempting to detach the heavy steel gate. He hides the gate behind the statues to avoid suspicion and later returns with a bag, placing the entire gate inside it before walking away calmly. The entire act was recorded on camera.

Local Residents Demand Action

Locals expressed anger over the police’s inability to prevent such a theft, especially from a site recently inaugurated by a high-ranking official, calling it a failure of local policing.
