Ghaziabad, UP: A shocking incident of daylight hooliganism unfolded in one of Ghaziabad’s posh commercial hubs, RDC, exposing gaps in police security. A group of youths entered slum dwellings and wreaked havoc, destroying property and scattering belongings of impoverished families. The incident occurred just 500 meters from the Police Commissioner’s office, and the disturbing video has gone viral on social media.
How It Began
The confrontation reportedly started with a minor road accident. A child collided with a young man riding a scooter, leading to a heated argument with a resident of the nearby slum. The altercation escalated into a physical fight. Though the young man initially left the scene, he returned shortly after with around a dozen companions. What followed was a brazen attack: the group smashed household items inside the slum huts using sticks and rods, creating panic and chaos among the residents.
Police Response
ACPC Suryabali Maurya of Kavi Nagar confirmed that the police are investigating the viral video. Efforts are underway to identify the culprits, and authorities emphasized that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. Strict legal action will be taken against the perpetrators. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to track and apprehend those involved.
