GHAZIABAD: A sense of fear and silence grips a society in the Trans-Hindon area of Ghaziabad after the tragic deaths of three young sisters. While the police suspect suicide, many questions remain unanswered, leaving residents anxious and unsettled.
Family Moves Out Amidst Shock
Following the incident, the family of the girls shifted to another rented flat within the same society. On Friday, citing the need for the last rites, they left the premises. As of now, the police have not registered a formal FIR due to lack of concrete evidence pointing to murder or foul play. However, authorities are preparing to question the father and other family members.
Police Point to Suicide
According to preliminary investigations, the girls were reportedly influenced by Korean culture and K-pop, which their father disapproved of. Police suggest that this disagreement may have prompted the girls to allegedly jump from a height. A suicide note was recovered from the scene, and the lobby gate was reportedly locked from the inside.
Residents Concerned for Children’s Safety
Residents of Tower B say the family has been unable to sleep properly since the incident due to fear and trauma. Parents in surrounding towers have also stopped sending their children to the tuition center on the ground floor and are seeking alternative locations for classes.
Unanswered Questions Remain
Society members note that only a single loud noise was heard at the time, raising questions about how three children could have died simultaneously. They are calling for a transparent and thorough investigation to uncover the truth.
Police Investigate Mobile Phones
Authorities are tracing two mobile phones recovered from the family to conduct forensic analysis, examining call details and digital records to gain further insights.
Family Background Raises Speculation
Local sources say the father of the girls has been married four times. His first wife has passed away, while the other three women are said to be sisters. The family appears financially well-off, renting two 3BHK flats in the society.
Fourth Wife’s Previous Disappearance
The Apartment Owners Association (AOA) is also conducting its own inquiry. AOA president Jai Thakur stated that last year, during Vat Savitri, the father had reported the disappearance of one of his wives, who was later found. CCTV footage from the society is now being reviewed.
