Geeta Dhami Breaks Down in Tears at Dehradun Parade Ground, Speaks on CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s Service

Dehradun: A video circulating on social media shows Geeta Dhami, wife of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in tears during a public event at the Dehradun Parade Ground. She was attending the Uttrayani Kauthig function when she became emotional while addressing the audience.

Speaking from the Stage
Geeta Dhami highlighted her husband’s dedication to public service, saying that he has not taken a single day off for his family over the past four years while serving the state. “Despite introducing anti-cheating laws and creating employment for 26,000 people, false accusations continue to be levelled against him,” she said.

Addressing Controversies
Wiping away her tears, she clarified claims regarding personal relationships. “Some people accused Dhami of going against religion by introducing UCAs and recognizing live-in relationships. The Supreme Court has already given legal recognition to live-in relationships. CM Dhami merely framed rules and regulations for it. Without such laws, society becomes disorderly,” she said. She further added, “These irresponsible individuals shout and spread lies, but truth quietly carries on, just as CM Dhami has always done in his work.”
