Ghaziabad: After more than a decade-long wait, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has launched a new land plot scheme in Nandgram. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the initiative by releasing its official brochure on Sunday, generating excitement among local residents. This marks GDA’s first new plot scheme in roughly 14–15 years.
Scheme Details: Noor Nagar and Nandgram
The scheme covers the Noor Nagar and Nandgram areas, offering plots ranging from 60 to 221 square meters. The price has been fixed at ₹79,000 per square meter. Allotments will be made through a completely transparent e-lottery system, ensuring fairness and accessibility for all applicants.
Online Application and Payment Process
Applications for the scheme will be accepted only online via the official GDA website. Applicants must submit 10% of the total plot cost upfront (5% for reserved categories) at the time of application. The remaining amount can be paid in installments, with an annual interest of 10% applicable on the balance.
Possession Within Three Years
According to GDA officials, successful applicants who complete the full payment will receive possession of their plots within three years. The e-lottery system has been adopted to ensure transparency and make the process accessible to the general public.
Boost to Residential Opportunities
The new scheme provides a significant opportunity for individuals seeking residential plots in Ghaziabad. Experts predict that the initiative could also accelerate real estate activities in the region, creating a positive ripple effect in the local property market.
