In Uttar Pradesh, the 108 ambulance service has once again proven to be a lifesaver. In Greater Noida, timely intervention helped a woman survive a physical attack, while in Gautam Buddh Nagar, ambulance staff assisted a woman in delivering a healthy baby en route to the hospital. These two incidents highlight the critical role of emergency medical services in the region.
Lifesaving Intervention for Assault Victim
A 33-year-old woman in the Rabupura area suddenly fell critically ill on Monday. Her family immediately contacted the government health services. Responding promptly, 108 Ambulance (UP32 EG 4783) reached the scene without delay. The ambulance staff provided first aid on-site and safely transported the woman to the Rabupura Primary Health Centre (PHC).
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Satendra Kumar demonstrated exceptional skill, patience, and compassion while attending to the patient. On reaching the PHC, ERCP doctor Premchandra administered Diclofenac injection after immediate consultation. Continuous monitoring by the medical team ensured the woman’s life was saved.
Safe Delivery En Route
Meanwhile, in Hasatpur, Bisrakh, 21-year-old Anjali, wife of Prashant Kumar, experienced labor pains and called the 108 ambulance for help. While being transported to the hospital, her labor intensified.
Recognizing the urgency, EMT Jagpal, pilot Vikas, and the accompanying family members stopped the ambulance en route and assisted Anjali in delivering a healthy baby boy safely. Both mother and newborn were then admitted to the Community Health Centre in Bisrakh, where they are reported to be in good health.
108 Service Receives Praise
Following these incidents, local residents and health officials praised the prompt response, skilled staff, and dedication of the 108 ambulance service. District Ambulance In-Charge Satyaveer Singh lauded the swift action.
Doctors at the district hospital noted that ambulance staff have successfully conducted emergency deliveries in the past as well. Operation Head Rochak Chauhan, District Program Manager Shekhar, and EMT Satveer congratulated the team and said they would be awarded certificates in recognition of their exemplary service.
