Several high-profile criminal cases currently being heard in Ghaziabad’s local courts and the Special CBI Court have drawn statewide attention across Uttar Pradesh. On Monday, hearings were held in four major cases, though proceedings could be completed in only one. In three cases, the courts adjourned the hearings to later dates, while in one crucial matter, the date for the verdict has been fixed.
Among these, the most significant development came in the mysterious death case of Sara Singh, wife of former MLA Aman Mani Tripathi, where fresh forensic evidence has dramatically altered the course of the trial.
Sara Singh Death Case: Forensic Report Changes Direction
A major revelation emerged in the Sara Singh case during proceedings at the CBI Court. Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Head of the Forensic Department at AIIMS Delhi, testified that Sara Singh’s death was not the result of a road accident, as initially claimed.
According to Dr. Kumar, forensic examination revealed excessive pressure marks on her neck, with injury patterns resembling those caused by a mobile phone charger cable—strongly indicating homicide. The incident dates back to 2015 in Firozabad and was earlier presented as a car accident. The court has scheduled the next hearing in this case for January 12, 2026.
NRHM Scam: Hearing Deferred Again
Proceedings in the infamous National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam—one of Uttar Pradesh’s largest corruption cases—were also postponed. The hearing could not take place due to the absence of the Special CBI Court judge, who was on leave.
Despite this, former minister Anant Mishra appeared in court in person. The case involves allegations of massive corruption and bribery in the procurement of medicines for government hospitals. The next hearing has been fixed for January 15.
Jawahar Bagh Violence Case: Next Date on January 1
The hearing in the notorious Jawahar Bagh violence case from Mathura also remains pending. The incident, involving violent clashes between followers of Ramvriksh Yadav and police forces, resulted in the deaths of 29 people.
As the hearing could not be concluded on Monday, the court adjourned the matter to January 1.
Gajendra Bhati Murder Case: Verdict on December 23
In contrast, the trial in the high-profile murder case of Ghoda-based political figure Gajendra Bhati, also known as Gajji, has reached its final stage. Former MLA Amarpal Sharma and two other accused are facing trial in this case.
After hearing arguments from both the prosecution and the defense, the court has reserved its judgment and announced that the verdict will be delivered on December 23.
These cases continue to keep Ghaziabad’s courts under intense public and political scrutiny, highlighting issues ranging from alleged murder conspiracies to large-scale corruption and mass violence.
