Bikaner/Falodi, Rajasthan: What starts as a modest government job can sometimes turn into a tale of unimaginable wealth – and scandal. Shubkaran Parihar (Chhipa), a junior assistant (LDC) posted in Falodi, drew the attention of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) when a raid revealed his extravagant lifestyle, far beyond his official ₹35,000 monthly salary. Shockingly, his wife Sarita was also implicated in the case, having been made a beneficiary of his amassed fortune.
Lavish Wealth Beyond Means
Recruited in 2010 as a junior assistant, Shubkaran had officially earned roughly ₹17 lakh over 15 years. Yet ACB raids at five of his properties unveiled assets totaling around ₹15 crore – including five luxury houses, 17 bighas of fertile land, valuable plots, ₹75 lakh in cash, and 2 kilograms of gold. Most properties and valuables were registered in his wife Sarita’s name, a move allegedly intended to protect his ill-gotten gains.
ACB officials said the LDC had accumulated wealth approximately 938% higher than his lawful earnings, highlighting the scale of corruption. The raid turned the dream world his wife Sarita once envisioned into a legal nightmare, with both now facing corruption charges.
From Humble Beginnings to Controversial Crorepati
Shubkaran’s journey began in Poonarasar Panchayat of Sri Dungargarh. After a 2022 promotion, he became a junior assistant and was later posted in Kanasar before being transferred to Udat. Despite his modest official role, he managed to amass a fortune rivaling that of the affluent elite.
Officials remark that the case is a stark reminder of how public servants can exploit their positions and attempt to shield their illegal wealth through family members. The ongoing investigation by ACB has now placed both Shubkaran and Sarita under intense scrutiny.
