Chhapra, Bihar: During the “Samriddhi Yatra” in Chhapra, Member of Parliament Rajiv Pratap Rudy praised the remarkable transformation of Bihar in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Highlighting improvements in roads, bridges, and the electricity sector, Rudy shared his personal experience of the state’s enhanced connectivity.
Rudy recalled, “There was a time when my mother used to take seven hours to travel from Patna to our village. Last night, I left my home in Delhi at 8:15 PM and reached Amnaur, my village, by 12:10 AM.” He emphasized that the streamlined infrastructure, including Patna’s modern airport and improved roadways, has drastically reduced travel time, providing a tangible example of Bihar’s development.
Welcoming the JEEVIKA workers warmly, Rudy credited the government’s focus on honest governance and effective leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for these achievements. He added that the public’s overwhelming electoral support reflects the success of these initiatives.
Major Development Projects in Chhapra
Rudy also acknowledged Energy Minister Vijendra Yadav for the upcoming 1,000-crore power substation in Chhapra, noting that electricity quality has vastly improved. He explained that whereas households previously needed stabilizers to operate TVs, today, no such requirement exists in Saran district. Rudy further highlighted infrastructure projects such as the Doriganj Bridge, the 8,000-crore Dighwara-Sherpur Bridge, and the Harihar Nath Corridor, praising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s visionary planning.
Bihar’s Brand and Vision for the Future
Rudy emphasized the government’s transparent approach to Bihar’s branding and development. Drawing parallels with Sabarmati Riverfront and Patna Ganga Path, he announced plans for a Ganga Path project from Sonpur to Amnaur. He expressed confidence that the wave of development seen in Patna will now extend to Chhapra and surrounding regions, paving the way for progress for future generations.
